Mission Statement

At this morally urgent moment in the history of the United States and of the Jewish people, we are forming a new minyan on the Upper West Side devoted to expanding the range of acceptable Jewish conversation.

The minyan we are building is traditional, egalitarian, multi-generational, and lay-led. It combines enthusiastic davening, serious learning, communal warmth, and an insistence on the dignity and equality of all people, from the United States to Israel-Palestine, and throughout the world.

We have no ideological tests; we are interested in principles not labels.

Our lodestars will be deep engagement with Torah and a commitment to the sanctity of human beings, not states.
